Best LEGO Sets Under $25: 14 Top-Rated Picks for 2026

The best LEGO sets under $25 on lego.com, judged by the people who bought them, are mostly small display pieces: plants, a Day of the Dead altar, postcards and BrickHeadz. On October 11, 2026 we filtered lego.com's under-$25 page down to 14 building sets that were in stock, had no Retiring soon badge and were rated 4.9 or 5 stars from at least 20 reviews.

Overview: how we picked

lego.com's "Gifts and Toys Under $25" page said 649 products on October 11, 2026. We read all 28 pages from the page data and kept products with a piece count, a price of $25 or less and Available now: 159 sets. Of those, 62 had a rating of 4.8 or more in the page data and no Retiring soon badge. We opened all 62 product pages, because the tile rating and the product page can differ, and kept the sets the product page rated 4.9 or higher from 20 or more reviews. Fourteen passed.

This is a list built from lego.com buyer ratings and product data, not hands-on testing: we did not build these sets. Ratings move as reviews come in. On Oct 24 we opened all 14 product pages again: same prices, no badge, 13 Available now and 10349 Happy Plants on back order.

All 14 best LEGO sets under $25, ranked

Ranked by product page rating, then number of reviews.

Prices are lego.com US list prices on October 11, 2026, unchanged on Oct 24. All 14 read Available now on Oct 11; on Oct 24, 13 did and 10349 read "Will ship by November 7, 2026". Ratings are Oct 24's. Cents per piece is our arithmetic, left out for DUPLO because its bricks are much larger; our price per piece calculator runs the same sum for any set. lego.com tagged 40619 and 40861 as Exclusives.

For an adult's desk or shelf

10349 Happy Plants ($22.99, 217 pieces) is two small plants in pots with faces. Jay's Brick Blog's May 28, 2025 review called it "the cheapest Botanicals set to date (ignoring the flower add-ons)" and said: "For the price, this is a great starting point and a gift to just about anyone." The Brothers Brick added: "Where the set really shines is in display value." @StudandStem wrote on lego.com on June 6, 2025, as a verified purchase: "These little plants bring me more joy than I could have ever expected." The catch on Oct 24: lego.com had it on back order, shipping by November 7. 11506 Rocking Plants ($22.99, 253 pieces) sits in the same Botanicals price slot, rated 4.9 from 57 reviews and Available now; our Botanicals guide compares the larger plant sets.

40811 Altar of the Dead ($14.99, 231 pieces) is the top-rated set on the list. lego.com says the set "becomes stunning seasonal decor"; Bricks Up's reveal post said it "recreates a small, decorative brick-built skull on one side and an altar on the other". Benson wrote on August 13, 2025, as a verified purchase: "My favorite thing is that it looks great from either way you display it."

The rest of the display group: 40867 Love Letters ($19.99), with "letters made from pink bricks standing on a blue base"; 40818 Italy Postcard ($14.99), which "features the leaning Tower of Pisa, Roman ruins, the Rialto Bridge in Venice and Positano on the Amalfi Coast"; 40817 Yellow Travel Suitcase ($14.99), which "opens like a real suitcase and features functioning wheels and a luggage tag"; and the 40619 EVE & WALL•E BrickHeadz ($19.99), the most-reviewed set on our list.

For kids from 7 to 12

21586 The Pale Garden ($19.99, 243 pieces, 7+) is a small Minecraft build. Brick Fanatics dated it to January 1, 2026 at $19.99 and wrote that "the lack of any major colours in 21586 The Pale Garden" helps "to set it apart".

31380 Retro Gaming Console ($19.99, 268 pieces, 8+) is a Creator 3-in-1 that kids can build and then "rebuild it into a mini computer or arcade game machine", per lego.com. The Rambling Brick's January 11, 2026 review was mixed: "The retro console does what you expect, and the other two models are pleasant display pieces, but lack play value."

40861 Sulley, Mike and Boo Figures ($24.99, 303 pieces, 10+) is a BrickHeadz trio. Bricks for Bricks wrote on March 19, 2026: "$25 and $0.08 per piece isn’t bad, but could be better (even with the IP)." Our own sum gives 8.2 cents per piece. Ages on the box are a guide to difficulty, as our LEGO age range explainer sets out.

For young kids and the holidays

75443 Grogu's Homestead ($19.99, 107 pieces, 4+) is lego.com's "fantastic first build-and-play experience" in Star Wars for ages 4 plus. Hispabrick Magazine's review: "Without a doubt, a true 4+ set." For toddlers, two DUPLO sets passed: 10954 Number Train - Learn To Count ($19.99, 1½+) and 10475 3 in 1 Construction Vehicles ($24.99, 2+), whose "22 bricks can be built into 1 of 3 pairs of vehicles". More picks for that age are in our best LEGO sets for 4 to 7 year olds.

40812 Snowman Ornaments ($12.99, 168 pieces, 6+) is the only Christmas set among the 14, and it "includes 2 snowmen figures".

Analysis: what $25 buys on lego.com

Price per piece varies more than price. Among the 12 non-DUPLO picks, 40867 Love Letters is the cheapest per piece at 5.8 cents and 75443 Grogu's Homestead the most expensive at 18.7 cents, though Grogu is a 4+ set with fewer, larger parts.

Ratings with few reviews were the main reason sets dropped out. Several sets showed 5 stars on the product page from fewer than 10 reviews, including 40883 Halloween Skull Candle (5 reviews) and 21592 Chicken Jockey Desert Attack (9 reviews); we left them out rather than rank them on so few votes.

Shipping matters at this price. lego.com's banner on October 11 read "FREE Shipping with orders over $35!*", so a single set under $25 does not reach it. LEGO Insiders points are shown per set: 97 points on the $14.99 Altar of the Dead and 130 on each $19.99 set. Our Insiders points calculator converts points to dollars.

Our take

Give 10349 Happy Plants to an adult and 40811 Altar of the Dead to anyone: both rate 4.9 or better. Happy Plants has 83 reviews averaging 4.9 and two independent reviews that praise its price and its display value; the Altar rates 5.0 from 60 reviews at $14.99.

Buy now if the gift has to be in hand early: 13 of the 14 read Available now on Oct 24. Skip or wait if you need Happy Plants sooner than mid-November: it read Will ship by November 7, 2026, and 11506 Rocking Plants is the in-stock Botanicals swap at the same $22.99.

For a child, choose by age rather than price: The Pale Garden from 7, Grogu's Homestead from 4. One set does not clear the $35 free shipping line, so pairing two picks is the better buy. On our watchlist: we re-check price-bearing lists every 14 days through December.

How we checked this

On October 11, 2026 we read all 28 pages of lego.com's "Gifts and Toys Under $25" page from its page data, filtered as described in the Overview, then opened the product page of each of the 62 shortlisted sets and copied price, pieces, age mark, rating, review count, order limit, stock, badge and Insiders points from the visible page. On October 24 we opened the 14 picks' product pages again in a headless browser and compared price, stock, badge, rating and review count. We read the Customer Reviews of 10349 and 40811 and copied quotes with name, date and the verified purchase label. We read the Jay's Brick Blog and Brothers Brick reviews of 10349, The Rambling Brick on 31380, Brick Fanatics on 21586, Bricks for Bricks on 40861, Hispabrick Magazine on 75443 and Bricks Up's 40811 reveal. Cents per piece is our arithmetic.
