Notre-Dame vs New York City: the two to buy now

21061 Notre-Dame de Paris: the most model for the money

$229.99 for 4,383 pieces, 5.2 cents a piece, 4.7 stars from 216 reviews. lego.com calls it "The ultimate Notre-Dame LEGO® set". It read Temporarily out of stock in our catalog until Oct 22, when it came back as Available now.

One builder on r/lego found it hard to love once built:

Reddit comment calling the LEGO Notre-Dame set fragile

Reddit, r/lego · Open the thread

"Notre Dame. It is fragile and the flimsiest set I've ever seen," u/Brisbane-1900 wrote in October, adding a hope that the Sagrada Família "isn't the same." That is one voice against 216 reviews averaging 4.7, but plan where it will stand before you build it.

21066 New York City: The Big Apple: the small skyline

$139.99 for 1,465 pieces, 4.8 stars from 25 reviews, and the dearest per piece of the ten at 9.6 cents. It sets the city inside an apple-shaped backdrop. Brick Architect gave it 4/5, "Recommended", and also called it "about 30% overpriced given the lack of minifigures".

Buy Notre-Dame if you want one large landmark and have the shelf: 4,383 pieces at 5.2 cents each. Buy New York City if you want a skyline under $140 and accept 9.6 cents a piece.

Tower Bridge and Paris: biggest and smallest you can order

21067 Tower Bridge ($349.99, 3,745 pieces) is the newest set you can order today and the dearest. New Elementary's review gives a release date of August 1, 2026, 25 bags of parts and a built size of 35 x 89 x 19 cm (35 in. long). Its verdict: "By its nature the build is a bit repetitive, but the results are worth it." It has only 6 reviews on lego.com, at 4.4 stars.

21064 Paris: City of Love ($79.99, 958 pieces) is the cheapest set you can order, though lego.com says it will ship in 60 days. It is a framed scene rather than a full building. Tom Alphin at Brick Architect described it as "the LEGO Skyline concept, but compressed into a wall decoration" and wrote that "this flattened perspective is not something I expected or wanted." He timed the build at 90 minutes.

Buy Tower Bridge if London is the landmark you want and you have 35 inches of shelf. Buy Paris if you want a wall piece under $80 and can wait two months for it.

The landmarks you can't order today

Five sets read Sold out or Temporarily out of stock on Oct 27. 21042 Statue of Liberty and 21060 Himeji Castle have read Sold out in every catalog read since Oct 10. 21062 Trevi Fountain switched to Temporarily out of stock on Oct 13; 21063 Neuschwanstein Castle and 21034 London read the same on Oct 27.

Desk note: none of the five carries the Retiring soon badge, and Notre-Dame's return to Available now on Oct 22 shows a stock label can lift. Our guide to whether sold-out LEGO sets come back has more of those flips.

21034 London is the one Skyline-series set among the ten: New Elementary calls it part of "the LEGO® Architecture Skyline series". At $39.99 and 12+, it is also the cheapest of the ten. For how lego.com flags a set on its way out, see how to tell if a LEGO set is retiring.

Sagrada Família: the November 1 set

21065 Sagrada Família is 12,060 pieces for $799.99, and lego.com showed it as Coming soon on November 1. The LEGO newsroom calls it the "largest LEGO building set ever released, by piece count". At 6.6 cents a piece it would be the second cheapest per piece of the ten. Our Sagrada Família 21065 article covers its price, size and pre-order status.

Our take

Buy Notre-Dame now; wait on the sold-out landmarks instead of chasing them. Notre-Dame is 4,383 pieces at 5.2 cents each and Available now. None of the five you can't order has the badge.

Buy now if you want Notre-Dame, New York City or Tower Bridge as a gift; all three read Available now. Skip or wait if you want Himeji, Trevi, Neuschwanstein or the Statue of Liberty: check back, and watch LEGO Black Friday 2026 from November 27.

What we don't know yet: whether the five out-of-stock sets return or leave without a badge, and what Sagrada Família's reviews say after November 1. On our watchlist: we re-read the Architecture theme page at each catalog fetch.

This take uses only the lego.com data and sources cited above, checked Oct 27, 2026.

How we checked this

On Oct 27 we opened the lego.com US Architecture theme page and all ten product pages in a headless desktop browser and read price, pieces, age, rating and stock from each page header. We read the LEGO newsroom release for 21065, Brick Architect's reviews of 21066 and 21064 and New Elementary's review of 21067. Stock history comes from our own lego.com catalog reads since Oct 10. The Reddit comment was read through an archive of public Reddit data. We haven't built these sets.
