Overview: every set lego.com dates to January 1, 2027

lego.com's Coming soon page showed 23 products on October 15, 2026. Sixteen are building sets: 21065, 10371, 11390 and the new 11388 Venetian Neighborhood for November, the first three covered in our November 2026 sets list, and twelve for January 1, 2027. The other seven are not building sets; two of them are Nike x LEGO bags. Two more January sets have their own product pages but are not on that list.

Prices, pieces and ages are from lego.com on October 11, 2026; cents per piece is our arithmetic. "Coming soon" means the page read Coming soon on January 1, 2027. The 14 sets add up to 6,402 pieces. lego.com can still add sets or change details before January.

LEGO Super Mario switches to minifigures

The LEGO Group revealed the sets "at gamescom in Cologne" on August 26, 2026. Its newsroom post says the minifigures "mark a refreshed LEGO Super Mario theme, newly centred on creative LEGO minifigure roleplay action", and that they were "first teased as part of MAR10 Day celebrations earlier in the year". The theme started in 2020 as an interactive play system, in LEGO's words "the first interactive LEGO Super Mario building experiences".

Patrick Otley, Design Manager at the LEGO Group, said in the same post that "bringing Super Mario to LEGO minifigure form feels like the start of something special." The sets will be available "via LEGO.com, LEGO stores and from select leading retailers around the world from January 1st, 2027."

It also gets younger. LEGO says Luigi & Bowser Jr.'s Race (72056) is "the first time that the LEGO Group has released a LEGO Super Mario set for kids aged 4+", and Yoshi at Mario's House (72057) is "a second set designed for kids aged 4+". The biggest Super Mario set, 72060 Fire Mario & Bowser's Castle, asks you to "help Peach escape Bowser's Castle" from Bowser, Koopa Troopa and Goomba. 72058 Bowser's Rumbling Race comes with "the Bowser Bruiser, Toad in a Zoom Buggy, Goomba in a Biddybuggy and a brick-built Cow on the Tune Thumper".

Fans saw the prices early. On the Eurobricks forum on August 16, ten days before LEGO's announcement, a member posted a price for each of the eight sets in round dollars, from $10 to $100. The US prices on lego.com are those figures minus one cent. The reaction was about value. Clone OPatra wrote on August 16:

"I'm so jazzed about the number of sub-$50 sets. Here's hoping they look good!"

Agent Kallus added that "6 sets at $40 and below is a good price spread to see especially for 2020s TLG". On lego.com six of the eight Mario sets are under $50, and the cheapest, 72052 Mario's Pipe Jump, is $9.99 for 61 pieces.

The January 2027 sets for adults

67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover is the most expensive set dated January 1, 2027: $169.99 for 1,849 pieces, 18+. It is also the cheapest adult set per piece in this list after the Skyline, at 9.2 cents. On October 10 lego.com's listing read "Pre-order this item today, it will ship from January 1, 2027"; on October 11 it switched to Coming soon on January 1, 2027.

67006 The Marvel Skyline is $99.99 for 1,261 pieces, 18+, and was the only set in this list open for pre-order on October 11, with a limit of 3. At 7.9 cents a piece it is the best value per piece of the 14. It is not listed on the Coming soon page, so anyone checking only that page would miss it.

Analysis: the Batmobiles and the rest of the wave

The rumoured Batman prices held. On June 12, 2026, Brick Fanatics reported two Batmobiles for January 2027 as an unconfirmed rumour, "coming in at $59.99 and $29.99 in the US respectively." lego.com now lists both at those prices: 67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck (672 pieces, 9+) and 67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile (317 pieces, 9+). The 67008 page calls it a "collectible car building set" from "the fan favorite film BATMAN RETURNS". It is not the same set as the 18+ 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile that lego.com's LEGO Batman article lists at $229.99 for 2,269 pieces. Together the three DC sets cost $259.97.

NINJAGO adds two spinners. 71875 Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle ($19.99) is on the Coming soon page; 71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner ($9.99) is not, though its product page reads Coming soon on January 1, 2027 and names LEGO NINJAGO Dragons' Fury.

What we did not include. This list has only sets with a lego.com page or a LEGO announcement on October 11; sets reported elsewhere without one are left out. We also found no LEGO statement on Insiders early access for January 1, 2027.

Our take

Based on the lego.com listings and LEGO's newsroom post above, the January 2027 wave is mostly for kids and Mario fans, with two clear picks for adult builders. If you collect Marvel, 67006 The Marvel Skyline is the one to act on now: it is the best value per piece of the 14 and was the only one open for pre-order on October 11. If you want the Joker Wall Art, watch its page, since its pre-order note came and went within a day. For a Super Mario fan of any age, the new minifigure sets start at $9.99, and 72060 at $99.99 is the centrepiece. We will update this list when LEGO adds sets or opens more pre-orders. If you need a set before then, our LEGO Christmas sets for 2026 list covers the holiday releases.

How we checked this

On October 11, 2026 we read lego.com's Coming soon page from its page data and opened the product pages of 67006, 67008 and 71873 in a headless Chromium browser, copying price, pieces, age and status text. A separate scripted read of the same page that day gave the same result. We read LEGO's August 26, 2026 newsroom post on the Super Mario range and Brick Fanatics' June 12 report on the Batmobiles. Forum quotes were copied from the Eurobricks thread. Totals and cents per piece are our arithmetic, and a second pass compared every number with our source table.
