LEGO X-Mansion Retiring: 76294 Sold Out, No Date From LEGO

TL;DR: 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion read Sold out on lego.com on October 25, 2026, at $329.99 with the Retiring soon badge. It went from Temporarily out of stock to Sold out on Oct 15 and has not changed since. LEGO gives no date; Brick Fanatics lists December 31, 2026. Do not plan on a lego.com restock.

LEGO Marvel X-Men: The X-Mansion 76294, a brick mansion with a white dome, a purple Sentinel robot, Wolverine on a motorbike and other X-Men minifigures

If you read in August that the X-Mansion was only temporarily out of stock, that was true then. The LEGO X-Mansion retiring story has moved on: lego.com shows 76294 as Sold out, with the Retiring soon badge still on and no date. The decision left for US buyers is whether to wait for a restock that lego.com does not promise, or to look at the Marvel sets that are not leaving.

Key Takeaways

  • Retiring soon badge, plus Exclusives, on the 76294 product page. Price $329.99.
  • Sold out since Oct 15. It read Temporarily out of stock on Oct 10 and Oct 13 in our tracker.
  • 3,093 pieces, 10 minifigures, 18+, about 10.7 cents a piece.
  • No LEGO date. Brick Fanatics files it under a December 31 date.
  • 3.9 stars from 143 reviews on lego.com, with scale the common complaint.

What Happened: the LEGO X-Mansion retiring badge, then Sold out

The 76294 product page shows two labels above the name: Exclusives and Retiring soon. Below the $329.99 price it reads "Sold out". There is no Add to Bag button, no order limit and no restock date. The page lists 3,093 pieces, 10 minifigures and an 18+ age mark.

It got there in steps. Our daily lego.com tracker logged the page as Temporarily out of stock on Oct 10 and Oct 13. On Oct 15 the label changed to Sold out, and it has stayed there. Those two labels mean different things on lego.com, and our LEGO Marvel sets retiring in 2026 list counts 13 of 17 badged Marvel sets as Sold out on their last check.

Brick Fanatics saw it coming. On September 14 it wrote that the flagship sets on LEGO's retiring page, the X-Mansion among them, "are now confirmed to retire by the end of the year", and that "there’s now zero chance of them being pushed back to 2027 or later". The same post warned that the X-Mansion "can’t be ordered at all in the US". The year-end reading is Brick Fanatics' conclusion. lego.com itself shows only the badge.

The set: what $329.99 bought

LEGO's newsroom revealed the set on October 17, 2024 as "the LEGO® Marvel X-Men: The X-Mansion Buildable Set". Brick Fanatics' retiring list gives a release date in November 2024. If it retires on the fan-site date, that is about two years on shelves, which matches Brick Fanatics' February note that the set "will have enjoyed roughly two years on shelves by the time it retires in December".

LEGO's own feature page says "It's designed by two X-Men superfans" and names them: "LEGO designers Justin Ramsden and Mark Tranter were part of the team who created this set". The 3,093 pieces build in sections, which LEGO's official exploded view lays out one by one.

By our arithmetic the X-Mansion works out to 10.7 cents a piece. That is cheaper per piece than the Helicarrier, dearer than Avengers Tower, and irrelevant if you cannot add it to a bag.

Desk note: Our lego.com change log recorded one move for 76294 in October: Temporarily out of stock to Sold out on Oct 15. Ten days later, on Oct 25, it had logged nothing new. A set that sits on Sold out that long is behaving like the sets we found do not come back.

Why It Matters: is the LEGO X-Mansion retiring before you can buy it?

For lego.com in the US, it already has. The badge says the set is leaving; the Sold out label says the shelf is empty now. Our study of whether sold out LEGO sets come back found that six of 35 sets that hit Sold out in October returned, and each sold out again within three days. That is a short window to catch, and lego.com gives no warning.

The bigger 18+ Marvel buildings on the Marvel theme page tell a different story. We pulled them from our lego.com catalog on October 25.

Avengers Tower has no badge, and Brick Fanatics wrote in February that it is "scheduled to remain on sale through the end of 2027". The Helicarrier was the only one of the three you could order on Oct 25.

What builders are saying

On lego.com the X-Mansion had 3.9 stars from 143 reviews. Bee1980 gave it four stars in December 2025 and summed up the mixed feeling: "Almost! Great idea, liked a lot about the set, but way too small, and overpriced." Legofan_005, two stars in November 2024, had the same complaint: "Kind of disappointed in the scale of the set, it's smaller than expected especially for being a Mansion and the cost."

On Reddit the mood is about missing it. In August, u/itzza_sim asked: "Anyone know if this set will restock. It was on back order and now out of stock temporarily." A reply from u/Question_It_All_3000 warned: "Never know when that will turn from temporary to out of stock." It turned on Oct 15. Three days later, in r/LegoMarvel, u/Parkigion123 wrote:

Reddit comment from a fan still trying to buy the LEGO X-Mansion at retail price

Reddit, r/LegoMarvel · Open the thread

"Still trying to get my hands on the X-Mansion for retail price." In a thread titled "Copped just before retirement", u/DasOptions replied with a hope rather than a fact: "I hope Lego changes their mind or has another x-mansion in the future." LEGO has announced nothing of the kind.

Our take

Skip the restock watch for 76294; pick the Helicarrier if you want a big Marvel build now. The X-Mansion has read Sold out for ten days with the badge on, and only six of 35 sold-out sets in our October reads came back, each for three days or less. The Helicarrier was Available now at $399.99 with no badge.

Buy now if you see 76294 at $329.99 at a retailer you trust; on lego.com there is nothing to buy. Skip or wait if your reason was price per piece: Avengers Tower is 9.6 cents a piece and has no badge.

What we don't know yet: whether lego.com will flip the label back for a day before the set disappears, and whether LEGO keeps to the December 31 date Brick Fanatics gives. On our watchlist: we re-read the 76294 page with every catalog fetch and log any change on our change log.

This take uses only the lego.com data and sources cited above, checked Oct 25.

How we checked this

On Oct 25 we read the 76294 product page in a desktop browser for labels, price, stock, pieces, minifigures and reviews, and took the 76269 and 76354 rows from our lego.com catalog fetch of the same day. Earlier stock labels come from our own tracker (Oct 10, 13, 15, 16 and 21). We read the LEGO newsroom post and LEGO's X-Mansion feature page, Brick Fanatics' February and September posts and its retiring list (updated October 13), and the Reddit comments through the Arctic Shift archive. Cents per piece is our arithmetic. A second pass compared every number with our source table. We haven't built this set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the LEGO X-Mansion 76294 retiring? Yes, by lego.com's own label. The product page shows Exclusives and Retiring soon at $329.99, and on Oct 25 it read Sold out. LEGO gives no date. Brick Fanatics, a fan site, lists it for December 31, 2026, which is its reading of the badge rather than a LEGO announcement.

When will the LEGO X-Mansion retire? LEGO has not said. Brick Fanatics' retiring list, updated October 13, puts 76294 in its December 31, 2026 group. In September the same site wrote that the badge leaves "zero chance" of a delay to 2027. For a US buyer on lego.com, the Sold out label since Oct 15 matters more than the date.

Will the LEGO X-Mansion be back in stock? Nothing on lego.com says it will. The page has no restock date and moved from Temporarily out of stock to Sold out on Oct 15. In our October reads, six of 35 sold-out sets came back, each for one to three days. Check the page often if you still want one.

How much is the LEGO X-Mansion? $329.99 on lego.com in the US as of Oct 25, for 3,093 pieces and 10 minifigures, about 10.7 cents a piece by our arithmetic. The page read Sold out that day, so the price is the list price rather than an offer you can take up on lego.com.

What can I buy instead of the X-Mansion? 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier ($399.99, 3,057 pieces) was Available now on lego.com on Oct 25 with no Retiring soon badge. 76269 Avengers Tower ($499.99, 5,201 pieces) has no badge either but read Temporarily out of stock; Brick Fanatics dates it to the end of 2027.
