LEGO Retiring Sets on Sale: 22 Badged Sets at 20 to 40% Off

Discounts are rare, and LEGO retiring sets on sale are the exception: only 22 badged sets were on lego.com's Sale page on October 24, 2026, against 231 products on its Retiring soon page the day before. The useful part is what happened next: the three discounted sets that left the Sale page that day had all read Sold out.

Checked: lego.com's US Sale page after pressing Load more until it showed 58 of 58, plus our catalog read of Oct 23.

LEGO retiring sets on sale: the quick answer

On Oct 24, lego.com's Sale page had 24 building sets, and 22 carried the Retiring soon badge. They cost $905.68 together instead of $1,272.78 at list price. Three are marked 18+: the Flower Arrangement, the Williams FW14B and Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle.

Key Takeaways

• 58 products on the Sale page; 24 are building sets.
• 22 of the 24 carry Retiring soon. The other two are 40743 Christmas Table Decoration and 71494 Zoey's Time Owl.
• Discounts: two at 40 percent, twelve at 30, eight at 20.
• Roughly 1 in 10: 22 discounted, against 231 products on the Retiring soon page in our Oct 23 read.
• Exits by selling out: three sets that were on sale on Oct 23 were gone on Oct 24, and all three read Sold out.

What happened: the Sale page is mostly retiring sets

Between Oct 11 and Oct 20 the Sale page looked different. Our October sale snapshot counted five building sets on Oct 11, 35 on Oct 15 and 25 on Oct 20. On Oct 24 there were 24.

The other products are not sets. They are key chains, key lights, mugs, bag tags, plush, pajamas, wooden racks and hangers, Nike apparel and shoes, a book and a 2024 wall calendar. The deepest cut on the whole page, 70 percent, is on a $5.99 Fennec Shand key chain. It now costs $1.79, a bargain only for Fennec Shand.

Among the sets, the badge dominates. Every set on sale except two carries Retiring soon, and all 22 have had it since our first catalog read on Oct 10. So the sale is a clearance of retiring stock, but a narrow one.

Prices and stock as shown on the US Sale page on Oct 24. Price per piece uses the sale price.

Two DUPLO games stand out for the wrong reason. At 59 and 67 cents a piece after the discount, they are the dearest per piece by far; with 83 and 47 pieces, per piece is the wrong yardstick for them.

The three 18+ retiring sets on sale

10345 Flower Arrangement: $65.99, 40 percent off

The best deal on the page for an adult. It is $44 below list, and at 5.7 cents a piece it is one of the cheapest sets on the Sale page per piece. Our Botanical Garden vs Flower Arrangement comparison covers how it displays next to the bigger set.

Pick for: a flower display under $70. Why: 40 percent off and 1,161 pieces. The catch: it is the only Botanicals set on the Sale page; no other flower set is discounted.

10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell: $55.99, 30 percent off

The 799-piece F1 car is 7.0 cents a piece at the sale price, and it held a 4.7 rating on the tile. Our LEGO F1 sets list ranks it against the other 28 F1 sets.

Pick for: an F1 fan who wants a small display car. Why: $24 off, 4.7 rating. The catch: at 799 pieces it is a small display.

75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle: $48.99, 30 percent off

The weakest of the three. Its tile rating was 2.9, the lowest of any discounted set, and 12.7 cents a piece is still the most among the adult picks.

Pick for: a Kylo Ren collector only. Why: $21 off. The catch: a 2.9 rating on lego.com.

Why it matters: sale sets leave by selling out

The question every buyer asks is whether to wait for Black Friday. Brick Fanatics reported that LEGO Insiders Weekend is "officially confirmed to be taking place from November 21 to November 22", followed by Black Friday through Cyber Monday, November 27 to 30. No offers were announced.

Desk note: our Oct 23 catalog read had 42677 Dog Treats Bakery, 60464 F1 Williams Racing & Haas F1 Race Cars and 75682 Elphaba & Glinda Figures on sale, all with the badge. On Oct 24 none was on the Sale page, and all three had read Sold out the day before. Between the two reads, not one discounted set left the sale by going back to full price.

That fits what buyers on r/legodeal say. One reply in October to a buyer weighing a retiring set put it bluntly:

Reddit comment on buying retiring LEGO sets before Black Friday

"You're gambling since it's already retiring," u/Spartan-000089 wrote, and "if they sell out before black Friday you'll be out of luck". In January, u/marmarjo recalled that when 10305 Lion Knights Castle was retiring, "a lot of people who waited for the black friday deals ended up not getting it due to it selling out."

The other view exists too. Brick Fanatics says some retiring Star Wars sets are "only worth picking up on sale, perhaps across Black Friday and LEGO Insiders Weekend." That works for sets with plenty of stock and no discount yet. It does not work for a set that is already 30 percent off and selling down.

The scale matters as well. StoneWars counted "more than 100 sets" tagged Retiring Soon on the German LEGO shop in September, and lego.com US listed 231 products on Oct 23. LEGO discounts about one in ten of them. If yours is not in the 22, a lego.com discount before it goes is not something to count on. Our guide on whether sold-out LEGO sets come back shows what the stock labels did over two weeks.

Our take

Buy a discounted retiring set now if you want it; waiting for Black Friday risks a Sold out label. Three sets left the Sale page in one day, all three Sold out, and no Black Friday offers had been reported by Oct 19.

Buy now if your set is among the 22, especially the Flower Arrangement at 40 percent off. Skip or wait if your set is badged but not discounted and still reads Available now; Insiders Weekend on November 21 and 22 is the next dated LEGO event, though no offers are announced.

What we don't know yet: what LEGO will discount for Insiders Weekend and Black Friday, and whether any of these 22 will still be in stock then. On our watchlist: we re-read the Sale page at each catalog fetch and will update this list when a set sells out or a new discount appears.

How we checked this

On Oct 24 we opened lego.com's US Sale page in a headless desktop browser, pressed Load more until it showed 58 of 58, and recorded every tile's list price, sale price, discount, stock button and badge. We compared it with our catalog read of Oct 23, which includes the Retiring soon page count and each set's stock label, and with our earlier Sale page reads of Oct 11 to 20. We read Brick Fanatics on Insiders Weekend and its retiring Star Wars guide, StoneWars on the end-of-2026 tags, and two r/legodeal comments through an archive. A second pass matched every number here against our source table.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does LEGO put retiring sets on sale? Some, not most. On Oct 24 lego.com's US Sale page had 24 building sets, and 22 carried the Retiring soon badge. The Retiring soon page had listed 231 products the day before, so the discounted ones are roughly one in ten. The rest were at list price.

How much are retiring LEGO sets discounted on lego.com? Between 20 and 40 percent on Oct 24. Two badged sets were 40 percent off (Flower Arrangement and Fortune Firecracker), twelve were 30 percent off and eight were 20 percent off. All 22 together cost $905.68 instead of $1,272.78, a saving of $367.10.

Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a retiring LEGO set? Not if it is already discounted and you want it. The three sets that left the Sale page between our Oct 23 and Oct 24 reads had all sold out. Insiders Weekend is November 21 and 22 and Black Friday November 27 to 30; Brick Fanatics reported no offers as of Oct 19.

Which adult LEGO sets are retiring and on sale? Three 18+ sets: 10345 Flower Arrangement at $65.99 (40 percent off), 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell at $55.99 (30 percent off) and 75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle at $48.99 (30 percent off). All three read Available now on Oct 24.

Do retiring LEGO sets come back on sale after they sell out? Our reads say rarely. The three sets that dropped off the Sale page on Oct 24 had read Sold out the day before. Our separate study of lego.com's stock labels found that sets which came back after selling out sold out again within three days.
