Overview: the 3 LEGO Jurassic World sets with the badge

We read the Jurassic World theme page from its page data on October 11, 2026 and opened the product page of every badged set, copying price, pieces, age mark, rating and stock from the visible page. On Oct 22 we opened the three badged product pages again; the stock column is that day's. On Oct 24 the theme page showed the same badges, prices and stock for all 16 products.

Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission

How does the Mosasaurus boat compare with the other two? On price per piece it is the lowest of the three badged sets, 7.0 cents against 9.6 and 14.0, and it was the last of them to sell out.

Desk note: Our lego.com tracker logged 76974 as Available now on Oct 11, Will ship in 60 days on Oct 13 and Sold out on Oct 15, still Sold out at its Oct 23 read. Four days from in stock to gone.

LEGO announced it in March 2025 with the Jurassic World Rebirth sets, saying they "will launch June 1st". Its announcement says "builders ages 9+ can recreate the iconic Mosasaurus boat scene from the film." lego.com describes the sea creature as "fully articulated, with moving fins and tail", with Atwater and LeClerc minifigures.

The Brothers Brick, which received an early copy from LEGO, opened its review with "LEGO sets based on the Jurassic films have a notoriously high price-to-piece ratio thanks to the large molded dinosaur figures," then: "One set in the line bucks the trend". Its conclusion called the set "an unambiguous success and an excellent value."

On New Elementary's review of the set, commenter Nuclearxpotato wrote on May 14, 2025: "Judging by the promo renders, I think the rocks are there to maroon the boat sorta like the Shrimp Boat from Hidden Side".

The two sets that sold out first

76969 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops Skull ($44.99, 468 pieces, 9+) has a skull "with opening jaw, plus dig site area and tools", and it "can be posed on or off the stand", according to lego.com. It is the best rated of the three, 4.8 from 34 reviews. LieutenantFeathery wrote on February 5, 2025: "It’s such a clever build and the detail works so well. Each separate pack means you can do a section each evening after work."

76972 Raptor Off-Road Escape ($39.99, 285 pieces, 6+) is a playset: lego.com lists "Reuben and Isabella Delgado, Velociraptor and Baby Dolores", an off-road vehicle and a surprise jump function: "Push the base and the Velociraptor ‘jumps’ out from the bush."

Both read Sold out on October 11, Oct 22 and Oct 24, so lego.com offered no way to order them on any of those days. In the release column of its July 2026 retiring update, Brick Fanatics lists 76969 with June 1, 2024 and 76972 with June 1, 2025.

Analysis: what stays in LEGO Jurassic World

None of the adult sets carries the badge. On October 11, 2026 the three 18+ sets on the theme page all read Available now with no badge, and on Oct 24 they still did:

LEGO's April 8, 2026 announcement said "The collection for adult builders launches May 7th, 2026 and June 1st, 2026, while the kids' sets launch August 1st, 2026". On October 11, lego.com marked 77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack ($99.99) and 77982 Spinosaurus Dinosaur Escape ($74.99) as New.

Brick Fanatics' retiring page, last updated October 13, 2026, lists 76974, 76972 and 76969 for December 31, 2026. Those are fan-site estimates, not LEGO dates, and not every fan list agrees: Stonewars' May 14, 2026 retiring roundup and The Brick Fan's June 2026 update listed other Jurassic World sets (76973, 76970, 76967) but not these three. lego.com itself shows only the badge, with no date. Two older sets, 76970 Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops and 76967 Little Eatie: T. rex, read Sold out on October 11 without the badge.

Our take

Skip lego.com for the three badged Jurassic World sets: all read Sold out, so watch for a restock instead. The Mosasaurus boat was the value pick, 7.0 cents a piece, and The Brothers Brick called it "an excellent value", but it has read Sold out since Oct 15. The Triceratops skull and Raptor escape were sold out on all three days we checked.

Buy now if you want an adult Jurassic display set: the T. rex ($249.99), Jeep ($199.99) and Triceratops ($109.99) had no badge and were Available now on Oct 24. Skip or wait if only one of the badged three will do: lego.com offered no way to order them.

What we don't know yet: whether lego.com restocks any of the three before the badge comes off; LEGO hasn't said, and Brick Fanatics' December 31, 2026 date is a fan-site estimate. On our watchlist: we re-check badges and stock every 14 days through December; the DREAMZzz list is on the same cycle.

This take uses only the lego.com data and sources cited above, checked Oct 24, 2026.

How we checked this

On October 11, 2026 we read lego.com's Jurassic World theme page from its page data and opened the product pages of the three badged sets and the three 18+ sets, copying price, pieces, age mark, rating, order limit, stock and badge from the visible page and the contents from the Features section. We read the Customer Reviews of 76969 and copied a quote with name and date. We read LEGO's March 2025 and April 8, 2026 announcements, The Brothers Brick's review of 76974, the New Elementary comment, Brick Fanatics' retiring page and the Stonewars and The Brick Fan retiring lists. On October 22 we opened the three badged product pages again, read the 18+ sets' stock from lego.com's 18+ list, took 76974's stock history from our tracker's change log and re-read the Brick Fanatics page (updated October 13; no Jurassic World date had changed). On October 24 we read the theme page again in a headless browser and compared badge, price and stock for all 16 products. Cents per piece and totals are our arithmetic.
