LEGO 76321 Retiring: Doc Ock Subway Train Out of Stock
TL;DR: 76321 is $54.99 for 393 pieces, released August 1, 2025, with lego.com's Retiring soon badge. On October 26, 2026 it read Temporarily out of stock, as it has since Oct 23. LEGO gives no retirement date; Brick Fanatics lists December 31, 2026. Five of the badged sets we saw go Temporarily out of stock this month came back, so a restock is possible, not promised.

LEGO 76321 retiring is official on lego.com's terms: the Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene has the Retiring soon badge and has read Temporarily out of stock since October 23. That is a softer label than Sold out, and our tracker says it matters: some badged sets in that state came back within days. So the choice for a US buyer is to watch the page for a restock, or pick a Marvel set that is not leaving.
Key Takeaways
- Retiring soon badge on the 76321 product page; no date from LEGO.
- Temporarily out of stock since Oct 23, after two weeks of slipping ship dates in our tracker.
- $54.99, 393 pieces, 9+, four minifigures, about 14 cents a piece; 4.8 stars from 46 lego.com reviews.
- Released August 1, 2025; Brick Fanatics dates its exit to December 31, 2026.
- Not the same as Sold out: 6 of 33 sets that went Temporarily out of stock in our October reads came back at least once.
What Happened: LEGO 76321 retiring, then out of stock
The 76321 product page shows the Retiring soon badge above the name and $54.99 below it. On October 26 the stock line read "Temporarily out of stock," with an inactive Add to Bag button and no restock date.
The slide took two weeks. In our lego.com change log, 76321 promised shipping by October 29 on Oct 16. On Oct 17 that became "Will ship in 60 days." On Oct 19 it read "Will ship by November 5," and on Oct 21 "by November 7." On Oct 23 the ship date disappeared and the page switched to Temporarily out of stock. Our LEGO Marvel sets retiring in 2026 list logged the same steps for the set.

The retirement date is not LEGO's. Brick Fanatics' Marvel retiring list puts 76321 under "LEGO Marvel sets retiring by December 31, 2026," and its Oct 13 list of every retiring set does the same. lego.com shows only the badge.
The set: what $54.99 buys
76321 is a scene from the film Spider-Man 2: a subway car with Spider-Man and Doc Ock fighting on and around it. lego.com lists 393 pieces for ages 9+, with a lift-off roof and a passenger seat inside the car. The four minifigures are Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson. Built, it is over 3 inches (8 cm) high, 9 inches (23 cm) long and 2 inches (5 cm) wide.

By our arithmetic that is about 14 cents a piece. Brick Fanatics gives the set's release date as August 1, 2025, and lego.com's instructions page lists it under 2025. If it goes on Brick Fanatics' date, it will have had about 17 months on shelves, short for a set many adult fans bought for display.
Desk note: Between Oct 13 and Oct 25 our tracker logged 33 sets moving to Temporarily out of stock on lego.com, 31 of them with the Retiring soon badge. Six came back to Available now at least once, one to five days later, and five were still Available now on Oct 25. Temporarily out of stock is a pause more often than an exit, but on these numbers most badged sets in it have not come back yet.
Why It Matters: is LEGO 76321 retiring before you can buy it?
Not yet, for one reason: the label. Our guide to telling whether a LEGO set is retiring splits lego.com's labels in two. Retiring soon is about the future; Temporarily out of stock means no stock today and no date. Sold out is the harder one, and our study of whether sold out LEGO sets come back found that only six of 35 did, each for three days or less. The LEGO X-Mansion went from Temporarily out of stock to Sold out on Oct 15 and has stayed there.
So 76321 still has a door open on lego.com. If you want it, check its set page or the product page every day or two. If you want a Marvel set at this price that you can order today, here is 76321 next to two that were in stock in our October 25 catalog read, with no Retiring soon badge:
| Set | Price | Pieces | Cents per piece | Retiring soon badge | lego.com status (Oct 25) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 76321 Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene | $54.99 | 393 | 14.0 | yes | Temporarily out of stock |
| 76347 Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet | $59.99 | 433 | 13.9 | no | Available now |
| 76356 Venom Bust | $49.99 | 413 | 12.1 | no | Available now |
Two other Spider-Man sets on the Marvel theme page carry the badge but could be ordered on Oct 25: 11200 Spidey and Gobby's Raptor Battle at Tree House HQ ($54.99, Available now) and 11207 Spidey: Underwater Vehicles ($34.99, Will ship in 60 days). Both are 4+ sets for young kids, not display scenes.
What builders are saying
On lego.com, 76321 had 4.8 stars from 46 reviews on October 26, with Value for Money averaging 4 out of 5, below the 4.5 for Play Experience. JT87, four stars in August 2025 and a verified purchase, called it "probably my most anticipated set for the August release" and said it "Makes a fantastic display piece and a good representation of that scene." The same review had two gripes: "the piece that attaches the webs on the train is really loose and falls off easily," and "the price is a bit expensive but for me totally worth it!"
Sinestra, five stars in October 2025, also verified, praised the minifigures: "what they did with the doc Ock fig is amazing." The complaint was the stickers: "the window stickers are awful and smudge very easily." Loose webbing comes up in more than one review, so that is the part to handle gently if the set is going on a shelf.
Reddit's archive tool was down when we checked, so we have no Reddit quotes for this set.
Our take
Watch the 76321 page for a week before you give up on it. It reads Temporarily out of stock, not Sold out, and five of the badged sets we saw in that state this month were back to Available now by Oct 25. If it flips to Sold out, it has probably left lego.com for good.
Buy now if 76321 shows up at $54.99 at a retailer you trust; the price has not changed on lego.com. Skip or wait if you only want a Marvel display piece at this price: the Quinjet and the Venom Bust were in stock with no badge.
What we don't know yet: whether lego.com has more 76321 stock coming before the end of the year, and whether LEGO keeps to the December 31 date Brick Fanatics gives. On our watchlist: we re-read the 76321 page with every catalog fetch and log any change on our change log.
This take uses only the lego.com data and sources cited above, checked Oct 26.
How we checked this
On Oct 26 we read the 76321 product page in a headless Chromium browser for the badge, price, stock, pieces, age, minifigures, dimensions and reviews, and lego.com's instructions page for the year. Earlier stock labels come from our own lego.com tracker (Oct 16 to Oct 25). The 76347 and 76356 rows, and the October count of Temporarily out of stock sets, come from our catalog and change log of Oct 25. The release and retirement dates come from Brick Fanatics' retiring lists (updated March 12 and October 13, 2026), which are fan-site readings. Cents per piece is our arithmetic. We haven't built this set; build impressions are quoted from lego.com reviewers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is LEGO 76321 retiring? Yes, by lego.com's own label: the 76321 product page shows the Retiring soon badge. LEGO gives no date. Brick Fanatics, a fan site, lists it among the Marvel sets retiring by December 31, 2026, which is its reading of the badge rather than a LEGO announcement.
When was LEGO 76321 released? August 1, 2025, per Brick Fanatics' Marvel retiring list. lego.com's building instructions page files it under 2025. If it retires on the fan-site date, it will have had about 17 months on shelves.
Is LEGO 76321 in stock? Not on lego.com in the US. The page read Temporarily out of stock on October 26, 2026, the label it has shown since October 23. That label gives no restock date, but unlike Sold out it is not a final word: five of the badged sets we saw go Temporarily out of stock in October were back to Available now by October 25.
How much is LEGO 76321 and what's in it? $54.99 on lego.com in the US, for 393 pieces and ages 9+, about 14 cents a piece by our arithmetic. It has four minifigures: Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson, and a subway car with a lift-off roof, based on the Spider-Man 2 film.
What can I buy instead of LEGO 76321? 76347 Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet ($59.99, 433 pieces) and 76356 Venom Bust ($49.99, 413 pieces) were Available now on lego.com in our October 25 catalog read, with no Retiring soon badge.
