Retired LEGO modular buildings from Detective's Office to Police Station, plus the sold-out Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club, checked on lego.com Oct 12, 2026.

Retired LEGO modular buildings now cover seven years of the series in a row. On October 12, 2026, lego.com labelled every modular from 10246 Detective's Office (2015) to 10278 Police Station (2021) "Retired Product", seven sets in all. The two modulars after them, 10297 Boutique Hotel and 10312 Jazz Club, were Sold out without that label. Three modulars were still on lego.com on October 11.

Retired LEGO modular buildings: the quick answer

Seven are retired by lego.com's label and two more are sold out. Each retired page shows "Retired Product" where the stock line would be, and its page data says "Discontinued". The Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club pages instead read "Sold out", with the price still shown. Six of the retired seven have a page in our retired set archive; 10246 Detective's Office does not yet.

The series is older than this list. Brick Architect wrote that Assembly Square, in 2017, celebrated "the 10th anniversary of the modular building series". We cover the modulars from 2015 on, the years our catalog data covers, and did not check lego.com for the older ones.

Key Takeaways

  • 7 Retired Product labels on October 12, 2026: 10246 Detective's Office, 10251 Brick Bank, 10255 Assembly Square, 10260 Downtown Diner, 10264 Corner Garage, 10270 Bookshop and 10278 Police Station.
  • 2 Sold out, not labelled retired: 10297 Boutique Hotel (2022) and 10312 Jazz Club (2023), both $229.99, both without the Retiring soon badge.
  • The highest lego.com rating is a tie: 10255 Assembly Square and 10297 Boutique Hotel, both 4.8 on October 12.
  • Three modulars on sale on October 11: 11371 Shopping Street, 10350 Tudor Corner and 10326 Natural History Museum, which has the badge.
  • Instructions survive: lego.com listed PDF building booklets for all seven retired modulars when we checked on October 11 and 12, 2026.

Overview: the 9 modulars we checked

We opened each lego.com product page on October 12, 2026 and copied the label, rating, review count, age mark, piece count and prices still printed on the page. Three retired pages show the list price crossed out beside a lower sale price. Year and minifigure count come from Rebrickable's catalog; cents per piece is our arithmetic at the list price.

The retired pages file the six oldest under Creator Expert and 10278 under LEGO Icons, the theme the Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club pages also show. 10278 is marked 18+ and the six older ones 16+. A retired page's price is a record, not an offer.

Assembly Square and the other retired modulars

Which retired modular is the biggest? 10255 Assembly Square, with 4,002 pieces and nine minifigures. Brick Architect wrote that "Assembly Square was released in January 2017", and its April 2019 review gave the price as $279.99. Its retired page shows a $299.99 list price, which Brick Fanatics called "the final RRP of the outgoing 10255 Assembly Square" when the Natural History Museum launched at the same price in 2023.

On lego.com, modularfan1 wrote on March 24, 2017: "Assembly Square is the 12th one I've purchased and is the best so far." Taggarwal added on November 18, 2020: "The price per part is excellent and is the best value for a modular building."

10264 Corner Garage was, according to The Brothers Brick in 2018, "LEGO’s 14th entry in the Modular Building series and the third-largest ever created", and "will retail for $199.99 USD from LEGO when it goes on sale January 1, 2019." It has the lowest rating in the table, 4.1 from 102 reviews. On Jay's Brick Blog, reader Leopold wrote on December 14, 2018: "I suspect I’m in the minority, but I prefer the external look of this one to the Diner."

10260 Downtown Diner (2018) and 10278 Police Station (2021) are the best value per piece in the table at list price, both under 7 cents. At the sale prices on their pages, 10255 works out to 6.0 cents, 10264 to 6.2 and 10270 to 6.4. The Police Station is also the newest modular with the Retired Product label.

10246 Detective's Office (2015) and 10251 Brick Bank (2016) are the oldest modulars in our check. Their retired pages showed $159.99 and $169.99 on October 12, both 7.1 cents a piece, with ratings of 4.7 from 191 reviews and 4.6 from 130.

Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club: sold out, not labelled retired

The 2022 and 2023 modulars sit in a different state. On October 12, 2026 both pages read "Sold out", showed $229.99 and carried the Exclusives badge, but neither showed Retired Product or Retiring soon. The Boutique Hotel rates 4.8 from 258 reviews; the Jazz Club 4.4 from 212. lego.com does not say whether either will return, so we report only what the page shows.

When LEGO revealed 10350 Tudor Corner in December 2024, Brick Fanatics noted it was priced "matching the cost of 10297 Boutique Hotel and 10312 Jazz Club" and that it is "the biggest 32x32-stud modular building to date".

Analysis: the modulars on sale now

Three modular buildings were on lego.com on October 11, 2026, all marked 18+ and all flagged Exclusives:

  • 11371 Shopping Street, $249.99, 3,456 pieces, Available now. Brick Fanatics' review, dated December 22, 2025, gives a January 1, 2026 release and seven minifigures.
  • 10350 Tudor Corner, $229.99, 3,266 pieces, "Will ship by October 24, 2026". Jay's Brick Blog reported it is "designed by François Zapf, with graphics by Ashwin Visser."
  • 10326 Natural History Museum, $299.99, 4,014 pieces, Available now with the Retiring soon badge. LEGO's October 2023 announcement called it its "largest modular set by piece count".

The current ones cost about the same per piece as the retired ones. Shopping Street is 7.2 cents a piece and Tudor Corner 7.0 cents, against 6.8 to 8.0 cents for the seven retired modulars at their list prices. The Natural History Museum, at 7.5 cents, matches Assembly Square almost exactly: the same $299.99 list price and 12 more pieces. For the other big 18+ sets with the badge, see our LEGO Icons retiring list.

The only retirement dates we found are unofficial. Brick Fanatics wrote in May 2021 that, "According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, 10264 Corner Garage will disappear from production by the end of 2021", and its Shopping Street review lists "Retiring: Dec 31, 2028". Neither is a LEGO date.

Our take

Based on the lego.com pages above, the modular to decide on now is the Natural History Museum: it is the only current modular with the Retiring soon badge, and at $299.99 for 4,014 pieces it sits right at Assembly Square's list price. Shopping Street and Tudor Corner had no badge on October 11, so there is less pressure, although Tudor Corner was on a ship date rather than in stock. We would not plan on the Boutique Hotel or Jazz Club from lego.com: both were Sold out on October 12 with nothing on the page to say they will return. If you already own any of the retired seven, the lego.com instruction PDFs cover a lost booklet.

How we checked this

On October 12, 2026 we opened the lego.com product pages of all nine modulars in a desktop browser and copied the label, badges, theme, rating, review count, age mark, piece count and prices from the visible page, and the availability from the page data. We read the Customer Reviews of 10255. Release years and minifigure counts come from Rebrickable's catalog download (checked October 11); instruction booklets from our October 11 read of lego.com's building instructions pages, plus the 10246 page on October 12; current modular prices and stock from our October 11 lego.com catalog read. We read LEGO's 2023 Natural History Museum announcement, Brick Architect on 10255, The Brothers Brick and Jay's Brick Blog on 10264, Brick Fanatics on 10264, 10326, 10350 and 11371, and Jay's Brick Blog on 10350. Cents per piece is our arithmetic.
